About Phil Walters

I am a singer/songwriter. My instrument of choice besides my voice is the keyboard. I have been singing since the age of nine and playing the keyboard for about ten years.

I studied vocal techniques at the Little Red School House in the village of Manhattan, New York. The type of music I sing, write, and perform is contemporary gospel, spiritual, and inspirational.

I studied audio engineering at Sheffield Institute for the Recording Arts in Phoenix, Maryland. In addition, I have performed at the Lincoln Theater for The Doing Good Network, The WRAL Theater, The North Carolina Science Museum, For Miles Of Great Hopes, and Wake Tech Community College for their special needs students, among many others.

I have released a couple of albums as well as singles since losing my vision in 2006. My most recent release on May 21, 2021, “Minister To Me,” is an original song that I have written, performed, and recorded at my studio, Sound Cast Productions. It is a contemporary gospel up-tempo high-energy song that would have anybody moving their feet. Tapping into the Caribbean and African roots while giving God the glory. In 2019 I produced a cover song, previously performed by Sam Cooke and the Soul Stirrers, “Jesus Gave Me Water,” written by Lucy E Campbell. My second CD, “You’re Everything To Me,” was released in 2018. My first CD, “You Saved Me,” was released in 2016.
